NC Libraries – Migration to new Library System
Stay tuned for the NC Libraries migration to a new library system
The NC Libraries are flipping out…er…over… to a brand new library system called Evergreen. We are early adopters of this open source system in partnership with the public libraries in the municipalities of Fort Erie, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Pelham. Together we are the Niagara Evergreen Consortium. There is only one other such consortium which partners academic and public libraries in Canada. The College Libraries are the first of the 5 partners to go live.
For College staff and students – this means a brand new interactive interface for you to search the resources in the Libraries. Behind the scenes it means we have control over development of a system which allows us to keep track of incoming resources, catalogue them and most importantly – circulate them to you! If you want to know more — call us at NOTL (x4413) or Welland (x7767).

Do you have FIFA World Cup fever?
The Niagara-on-the-Lake library has set up a comfy viewing area with couches and chairs for fans to enjoy the faced-paced, high caliber soccer matchs of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is the perfect spot to take a break and cheer on your favorite team/country to soccer gold.
Due to on going construction at the WC we will be unable to offer a World Cup Lounge service to WC students this year. However, we would like to inform the students and faculty that a LCD projector will be broadcasting the FIFA activities in the cafeteria foyer.
Whatever the venue take a moment and enjoy the competition!
