Did You Know? Research Help
Have you ever been ready to start your research, and then realized that you don’t know how to go about looking for books, videos and articles? If you’re not able to ask one of us in the Library, you can always go to the Library’s website, click on FAQ in the left column and read the instructions on how to find books, videos and DVDs, as well as articles.
Is Global Health an Issue to You?
If it is, then you may be interested in watching Rx for Survival: A Global Health Challenge.
There are two different ways that you can watch Rx for Survival. You can borrow it from the Welland Campus Library for a period of 24 hours or you can watch it on TVO tonight at 10:00 p.m. TVO will be airing part 1 of 6 tonight – Disease Warriors.
For further information on global health, check out the book Rx for Survival: Why We Must Rise to the Global Health Challenge by Philip J. Hilts, available at the Welland Campus Library. The Welland Campus Library also has the following videos that you can borrow:
The Threat of Pandemic Influenze: Are We Ready?
SARS: A Body and Health Special Report
Our Planet, Our Health
West Nile: A Body and Health Special Report
HIV/AIDS: Fighting a Global Epidemic
Not a Welland Campus student? You can still borrow these items. Niagara College students can borrow materials from both Campus Libraries, as well as request to have materials sent from one Campus to the other for pick-up.
