Student Appreciation Day – It’s Tropical!
No fooling… Tuesday, April 1st is Niagara College’s much anticipated Student Appreciation Day! This is a day you won’t want to miss – you’ll find lots of free treats and prize draws throughout the College.
Be sure to come to the Library for some great tropical games, treats and prizes! The NOTL Library will have a “guess the number of seashells” game and the Welland Library will have a “guess the number of goldfish” game. For each game, the 3 students with the closest guesses will receive a Tim Hortons travel mug and gift certificates!
Super Movie Weekend
Why, you may ask, is this weekend different from any other?
Since we’re closed for Good Friday, you can sign out a movie on Thursday and keep it until Monday morning.
Normally, you’d have to sign out a movie on Friday to keep it for the weekend. So you can have your movie for an extra day! Isn’t that super?
“I Love Canada” Event Prize Winners
Congratulations to the winners of our “I Love Canada” Event! We hope that you are enjoying your prizes and had a great time at the Ice Dogs game on Sunday!

The Great “I 
Canada” Event!
From Monday, March 10th at 8:00 am to Thursday, March 13th at 12:00 pm, the Libraries of Niagara College will be hosting our “I Love Canada” Event.
Come into either Campus Library to check out our great displays of Canadian books, videos and DVDs, as well as enter our contest to win 1 of 2 “I Love Canada” Baskets!
Each prize basket contains:
- 4 tickets to the Ice Dogs hockey game for Sunday, March 16th, 2008.
- a hockey stick signed by the Ice Dogs team members
- a Canada T-shirt
- Maple syrup and maple sugar candy
- a book about the best of the Niagara Region
“I Love Canada” Prize Basket
This contest is open to Niagara College students, staff and community users. All you need to do to enter is ask for a ballot at the front desk at either Campus Library location and answer a couple of “skill testing” questions. It’s that easy!
A winner will be selected from each campus location. Winners will be notified by phone and must come to claim their prize by 12:00 on Friday, March 14th, or another winner will be randomly selected. (Since the Ice Dogs game is on Sunday, March 16th, we need to insure that the tickets are picked up by the time we close on Friday)
So with some luck, you may find yourself experiencing some treats that will make you a true Canuck!
