Library services online survey coming soon…

Great prizes for participating...check out the posters!
Help us plan the library services and facilities that will contribute to your learning success at Niagara College. We want to continue to develop services that work for you but we need your input!
On March 9th you will receive an email providing you with a link to our service quality survey. Please click on the link and fill it out – it only takes 10 minutes! Tell us what you think of services now and what you need in the future. Complete the survey between March 9 and March 31 and you could win some great prizes (like a Dell Mini Netbook) – just enter your e-mail address (this must be your Niagara College e-mail address…for example: jsmith33@students.niagaracollege.ca ) in the space provided at the end of the Survey.
The Survey is completely confidential and your e-mail address will be stripped from the survey. If you enter your e-mail address for a chance to win a prize this e-mail address will be held in a separate file and cannot be re-connected to your response.
Thanks in advance from the staff of the Libraries.

Freedom to Read Week
Have you ever really considered how many books have been challenged or banned? Freedom to Read Week runs from February 22nd to the 28th and, to bring awareness to censorship issues, the Welland Campus Library has a number of previously challenged books on display. These books have been brought to the attention of school boards or libraries by people who have found something objectionable in them. Come in and have a look…take one out and see what all the fuss is about!

Challenged books and why they've been challenged.
Health & Wellness resources @ the Libraries
To coincide with the Health & Wellness Fair being held at the Welland Campus today and NOTL Campus tomorrow, the libraries have prepared a list of resources. All of these books, dvds and magazines can be borrowed from either library. Ask at the Circulation Desk for the list or search the library’s catalogue for health-related resources.
DVDs and Paperbacks @ the Libraries
Sure you’re in full swing with assignments but if you’re in the mood for a break and are looking for something else to do, don’t forget to check out your Campus Library. New DVDs, fiction and magazines are being added daily. Come in and check out what we’ve got!
Super Tuesday winners
Congratulations to Russell Robinson (Welland Campus) and James Dominski (NOTL Campus) who answered the skill-testing question to win our SuperBowl prize bags. And if you’re curious…the answer to our question: name a sports magazine found in our Libraries is…Sports Illustrated! Thanks to all who participated in the contest.
