NC Delicious Bookmarksis a social bookmarking website, which means it is designed to allow you to store and share bookmarks on the web, instead of inside your browser.

Examples of Books OurOntario.ca Government Documents Collection: Access over 24,000 government documents from the collection of the Ontario Legislative Library, with new documents being added quarterly. You can find documents by typing in your search words in the search box, or by browsing lists of titles, a list of the ministry/agency, authors, subjects, or years.

The Alzheimer Society was founded over 30 years ago to help people affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The Society consists of a national office, 10 provincial organizations and more than 140 local groups across the country.

Project Gutenberg is the place where you can download over 30,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, Kindle, Sony Reader, iPhone or other device. Most releases are in English, but there are also significant numbers in many other languages. Currently, the non-English languages most represented are: French, German, Finnish, Dutch, Chinese, and Portuguese.

NEW CANADIAN NURSING JOURNAL : CJNR

The CJNR is a peer-reviewed, quarterly journal published by the McGill University School of Nursing. Approaching its 40th year of publication with world-wide circulation, the CJNR’s primary mandate is to publish original nursing research that develops basic knowledge for the discipline and examines the application of the knowledge in practice. Research related to education and history is also welcomed, as are methodological, theoretical, and review papers that advance nursing science.

NC Libraries Group Study Rooms

GROUP STUDY ROOMS

The Group Study Rooms are a perfect spot to gather with classmates to discuss course curriculum, organize group presentations or prepare for exams.

Did you know?:

Group study rooms are available at both the Welland Campus and the Niagara On The Lake Campus and can be booked up to a week in advance.

How:

Simply approach the circualtion desk and request the time you would like to book the study room (max 2 consecutive hrs per group) and we will do our best to accomodate. Each Study Room has a white board and white board markers which also can be signed out at the circualtion desk.

ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source

ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source  provides users with reliable healthcare information covering nursing, allied health, alternative and complementary medicine, and much more. This versatile database is designed to meet the needs of researchers at healthcare facilities as well as nursing and allied health programs at academic institutions. ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source provides abstracting and indexing for more than 850 titles, with over 715 titles in full-text, plus more than 12,000 full text dissertations representing the most rigorous scholarship in nursing and related fields.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text

CINAHL Plus with Full Text also provides indexing for over 4,175 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 2,000,000 records dating back to 1981. Offering complete coverage of English-language nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses’ Association, CINAHL covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. In addition, this database offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters. Searchable cited references for more than 1,300 journals are also included.
